The Urtopia Carbon 1 Pro apparently looked at that idea and decided it wasn't nearly complicated enough.

The Adrenalin Junkie Urtopia Carbon 1 Pro is a lightweight carbon smart e-bike built for riders who want performance, technology and long-distance capability wrapped into one remarkably clean package.

The carbon-fibre frame and fork help bring the bike's weight to approximately 17kg without accessories — impressively manageable for an e-bike carrying this much technology.

Power comes from a custom 36V 250W rear-hub motor delivering up to 45Nm of torque.

A torque sensor responds to rider input, while Pedal, Eco, Comfort, Sport and Turbo modes let you decide how much assistance you want from the system.

Feeding that motor is a removable 352.8Wh Samsung lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of up to 130km under suitable riding conditions and an approximate 2.5-hour charging time.

When it's time to actually work the legs, a Shimano CUES U6000 1×10-speed drivetrain provides a broad selection of mechanical gearing.

But the Carbon 1 Pro really separates itself when you reach the technology.
